Found: 132 Year-Old Garage Sale Treasure

J. Patrick

I haven’t been to a garage sale all summer and one in my neighborhood drew me in this past weekend. I found some great speakers for the deck at a great price, but I also found an old Bible in the basement that grabbed my attention. It was a leather-bound beauty with “Holy Bible” embossed into the leather. Inside, it was dated 1879. Look at the pictures after the jump to see more. The book’s cover is in rough shape, but the interior is like new. It’s a massive Bible and I’m sure that at one time it was someone’s keepsake. Sold at a garage sale for $5.
