It's a location that hosted many Cars 108 events and parties. Today it is gone. The once popular eatery known originally as the Country Squire burned down over the weekend in what fire investigators term as a suspicious fire. Fire crews from at least a dozen area fire departments responded to the call about 6pm last Saturday. The building, formerly the home of restaurants like Broadstreet, R.C./ Coopers, and Bosley's, had been closed for almost 5 years. There was no electricity or gas service to the structure.Investigators are not ruling out arson as a possible cause.. The strong winds were a factor in fighting the blaze. A fire at the same location in 1967 caused a half-million dollars damage, but the restaurant was later rebuilt.
