Former Carman-Ainsworth Coach to Face Additional Sex Charges [VIDEO]

A former Assistant JV softball coach -- already charged with having sexual contact with a student -- is facing six more counts of sexual misconduct, now that a second victim has come forward.

Jacob Weissend is accused of having sex with a student who is between 16 and 18 years old. Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton tells WJRT that the second victim falls into the same age group, and that he's concerned that there could be a pattern.

"We're starting to be concerned about the possibility of a predator."

A letter about the first incident sent to parents in the school district prompted the second victim to come forward. The letter notes that Weissend also helped with middle school and varsity wrestling in past years.
