Food Bank of Eastern Michigan Empty Bowls Fundraiser

September is National Hunger Action Month so the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is hosting an empty bowls fundraiser on Thursday from 11am to 2pm and 4 to 7pm at their office on Lapeer Road. The goal is to provide support for food banks, soup kitchens and organizations that fight hunger across the country. For only $15 you can help support this worthy cause.

A variety of chefs and restaurants will be supplying the meal on Thursday and you'll be able to take home a bowl which was made by students at the FIA. There will also be a silent auction, entertainment, live pottery demos and food bank tours. Rod and I will be serving food from 11am to 2pm so hopefully we'll see you there as you help us fight hunger.
