One mom, two pros: her son plays for the Dallas Mavericks, and now, her daughter is now the 10th overall pick for the Chicago Sky.

Pamela herself was the No. 2 overall pick in the 1997 WNBA draft. She played for two seasons for the Sacramento Monarchs and the Los Angeles Sparks, and also won a gold medal in the 1984 Olympics. She was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.

She stood beside her daughter, Imani Boyette, last Thursday in Connecticut, during the WNBA draft.

Pamela attended Flint Southwestern Academy and graduated from Flint Northern High School. Her son JaVale was drafted in the first round in 2008 and now plays for the Dallas Mavericks.

Some good news from Flint is nice once in a while, isn't it? Congratulations, mom and daughter!
