Flint’s Lyric DaQueen Looking to Sing Her Way to ‘X-Factor’ Win [VIDEO]

'X-Factor' mentor Marc Anthony likes what he sees in Flint's Lyric DaQueen. “Very impressive. She is a superstar.” Simon Cowell agreed. DaQueen is one of 24 finalists that remain, having made it through numerous grueling auditions already, and hoping to be among the 16 that will make it to this season's live shows.

'Lyric 145' is the newly-formed rap trio, and according to DaQueen, "There isn't one hip hop group out there right now with two males and a dominant female that can out rap anybody."

Pulling up to Simon Cowell's Miami Beach home on a yacht is a bit of a contrast from what the singer is accustomed to.

“I’m from Flint, Michigan. This type of yacht is like so far-fetched it’s not even funny. People don’t make it out of Flint. People either go to prison or they’re dead. I’ve been to more funerals than weddings."

We'll find out if Lyric DaQueen and 'Lyric 145' make it out of Flint, and to the next round of the X-Factor Thursday. The show airs at 8 pm on WSMH, Fox 66.
