Flint’s Hyatt Regency Hotel Nightlife In The 80s [VIDEO]
Good old downtown Flint, with a bustling night life and tons to do, well that was the marketing sceme of this commercial from the 80s for the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Here is what WikiMapia says about the current site:
This building is a dormitory for the University of Michigan-Flint. When it was built in 1981 as the Hyatt Regency Hotel, it was intended to revitalize downtown Flint. The hotel changed management companies many times until 2000, when it was acquired by the Institute for Basic Life Principles. This Christian group operated it as the Character Inn – a hotel that banned alcohol and rock n roll. In 2009, U of M bought it and began a renovation.
