Flint’s Bishop Airport Named Michigan “Airport of the Year”

Bishop International Airport was been named "Airport of the Year" at the 2014 Michigan Airport Conference last week. The conference is put on by the Michigan Association of Airport Executives and the award to Bishop was presented by Michigan Department of Transportation's Office of Aeronautics.

Bishop was recognized for "excellence in service" as well as a number of projects that improve the airport. Safety, preservation and expansion projects including the airport's final terminal building expansion were also noted as parts of the achievement.
