What do you tell others about Flint when they find out where you're from?

Jocelyn Hagerman, President of Skypoint Ventures and the creator of the #FlintFwd campaign and video (below), asked residents what messages they wanted to send to those outside the Flint area.

“[This campaign] is to show others to invest in the lives that are already in Flint,” Hagerman tells My City Magazine. “People come to Flint, and they see so much energy and resilience and that draws people in to start a business or their lives here. I think people like being part of something exciting and growing.”

The goal of the video is to send a positive message -- to highlight how Flint is moving past its ongoing water crisis, without assigning blame or dwelling on the negative.
