This isn't the first time the folks at Home Depot have made our "Good News."

89-year-old Korean War veteran and Flint Township resident, known as Mr. Baird, is in rehab right now after being hospitalized. He suffers from Parkinson's and hasn't been able to finish projects around his house to make it more accessible.

So, while he rehabilitates from his recent hospital stay, volunteers who had the day off from the Home Depot (as part of the Home Depot Foundation) came to his house and put in handicapped and safety toilets, new curtains, new appliances, and new landscaping.

His son-in-law says that he would like to continue to live alone, and this will give the family peace of mind.
