Crab Cake Benedict is the dish that sealed the deal for Brian Adams, helping him take home the $10,000 prize on Food Network's new show 'Cooks Vs. Cons.'

"It was one of the hardest things I have ever done, 30 minutes in the kitchen is no time at all," Adams said about his experience on the show, "It was hectic, it was crazy, it was hot and nerve-racking, and it was also cool at the same time."

Adams, who grew up in Flint, is a chef at the Wynn Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He tells WEYI that growing up in Flint has had a tremendous impact on his career.

"As Flintstones we never give up, it makes me work harder, and push harder. I am definitely proud of that. Proud to be from there, proud to represent the south side of Flint, it was a tremendous and incredible experience."
