Flint Music Group Completes ‘We Gone Make It’

Earlier this month, we mentioned a story regarding a group of people trying to come together to produce a song about making positive changes to Flint. The Flint Journal had encouraged people to meet downtown to be part of the ''We Gone Make It" video. The Flint Area Community Ensemble has finished it and you'll be able to purchase the song soon.

Yusuf Bauswell and Bernard Jackson are the two who started the project and wanted to send a message of hope and peace to the community. The idea of Flint City Project is to continue to help making positive changes in the city and to get more people involved. Bauswell and Jackson, along with 11 other artists and other community members came together for the project.

Half of the proceeds from record sales will be donated to The Whaley Children's Center. The song was released on Monday, but there will be an official release party at Raspberries on July 3.
