Flint Factory Producing and Supplying Shoes For The U.S. Military [VIDEO]

Two companies have teamed up to make sure American Soldiers wear American shoes.

Rogers Foam, a factory here in Flint, cuts, molds and assembles pieces of foam, has joined forces with New Balance to produce American Made shoes for the U.S. Military.

The company claims there's a loophole in military code that allows the troops to buy their own tennis shoes, wherever they may have been made.Rogers Foam and New Balance said they are looking to change that.

The goal is for every single item worn on a U.S. soldier to be made completely in the U.S. The push for American made shoes through New Balance could have a positive effect on Mid-Michigan's economy.
