Borders Book stores are planning to liquidate all of their stores that are still open, which includes the Border's on Miller Road in Flint Township. The Flint Journal reports that 399 stores will be effected.

The store could close as early as Friday and Borders Group President, Mike Edwards, is very sad to announce the news:

'"We were all working hard towards a different outcome but the headwinds we have been facing for quite some time, including the rapidly changing book industry, eReader revolution and turbulent economy, have brought us to where we are now.'"

About five months ago, the company announced they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and had already closed several stores. More than 10,000 people will be losing their job.

If you like going to Borders on Miller Road, you better head over this week because it's probably going to be your last chance to buy books there.
