Workers are quite happy to be back at work at the Flint Assembly GM plant. WNEM reports that third shift workers have checked in as of late last night to begin work on trucks. The first truck to roll off the line was a Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD.

About 750 hourly and those on salary are on this shift. Some were on the other shifts but started on this one last night. This is all part of GM's investment into the plant because there has been a higher demand for trucks. More good news for people around Flint since this investment has created more jobs.

If you didn't get a chance to take a tour of one of the GM plants that's okay because you'll have another chance to do it next month. GM has decided to open up their facilities again so I'll have more details and information coming soon.
