Five Cyclists Killed, Others Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in W. Michigan [VIDEO]

Five people are dead after a pickup truck struck a group of nine bicyclists Tuesday night (6/7) near Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting tells WWMT-TV that the driver is a 50-year-old male from West Michigan, but has not yet released the man's name. Numerous calls were made to 911 about the driver in the half-hour preceding the crash, saying that he was driving erratically.

The driver fled the scene, but was apprehended shortly thereafter by police.

The other four victims have been hospitalized with serious injuries.
