Yes, there are more serious problems in the world right now. But there's something weird about knowing that your package is floating around somewhere in the country....We've been doing a mix between shopping local and shopping online this season. Really, it's a miracle that they're able to ship as many packages as they do; the logistics of it are mind-boggling. Ironically enough, we both have packages that are missing.

Mine was shipped from FedEx Smartpost, and was supposed to be delivered yesterday. I have no idea if it's still in Winsor, CT or not.

Pat's package was ordered from Amazon, and was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday. He called the post office and they're pawning it off on the post office carrier.

Of course, it's not a big deal. But it's always a weird feeling to know that something you paid for is floating around in package purgatory.

George McIntyre called it - time to get Amazon Prime.
