Here's what you need to know!

Michigan's state fire marshal is considering a statewide ban on fireworks this weekend because of the extremely dry weather conditions. But, as of right now, the village of Holly is the only city banning consumer fireworks this weekend.

However, almost all of the cities in our listening area are under a burn ban. Burton, Mt. Morris Township, and Clio fire departments in Genesee County have a burn ban in place, as well as Grand Blanc Township, Montrose Township, Thetford and Vienna Township.

Flint is not yet on that list, but it's still a good idea NOT to burn anything until the ban is lifted.

The city of Flint has enacted a curfew for the city's fireworks on Friday night. All children 17 and under MUST be with a supervising adult from 6 PM on Friday until 6 AM on Saturday.

Be safe, everybody!
