The goal is to form a positive relationship between the kids and the people who keep them safe.

Anna Goss, the food services director for Fenton Area Public Schools, told ABC 12 that she had a family member who was a first responder...and killed in the line of duty. So it's very near and dear to her heart.

She came up with the idea of inviting area police, firefighters and EMTs to lunch. Kids were asking questions about the job, and school officials say that they hope to make this an annual event.

Kudos to Anna and Fenton schools for coming up with this! Great local good news!
