Fed Up With Lunch Menu, Students Boycott Cafeteria Food

Students at a junior high school in Texas staged a four day boycott of cafeteria food because they wanted healthier lunch options on the menu. The students brought lunch from home because they wanted to get the point across for the school to add healthier alternatives including salads.

The superintendent has defended the menu saying it’s been approved by the Texas Department of Agriculture, who provides strict nutritional guidelines for school menus. Do you agree with the students? Did they have a right to boycott?
