Parents, listen up! When you make a deal with your kids, you might want to leave Facebook out of the equation. Dan Urbano was sick and tired of his 7-year-old asking for a cat, so he challenged his boy, Remi, and his sister.

The deal was that if the kids put a picture on Facebook and it got 1,000 likes, he would break down and get them the cat they had been longing for. The kids accepted the challenge of dear old dad, and it came back to bite him... or, in this case, scratch and claw him.

Their mom put the picture on her page and said: “Dan thinks there is NO way we can do this. I say there is. Help us out. We really want a cat named Hairy Pawturrr. If you can’t like, shares. Shares count too! Thanks so much everyone!!”

The plan worked purrrfectly for the kids as their picture now has well over 118,000 likes on the social media site. Keeping his promise, their dad took the kids out to adopt their kitty, and brought her home today. That's right, it's a female cat, so they named her Hairyette Pawturrr!

The moral of the story is, if you think the internet isn't full of people who like cats and cute kids, or won't help a mother prove her husband wrong, you are as wrong as Dan was, and you should go adopt a cat too! I mean look at how cute Hairyette is! Gosh, I miss my cat, Joslyn!
