Extended Weekend At Michigan Renaissance Festival

The Michigan Renaissance Festival is celebrating their Harvest Huzzah this Saturday and Sunday, but also Festival Friday today.  This is one of two three-day weekends the 2011 schedule offers.

The only Friday the Renaissance Festival is open this season offers the opportunity for school groups to experience the authentic Holly Grove Village.

This weekend's Harvest Huzzah offers the Beer Baron Brewing Brawl, long bow competition, beer tasting, harvest market, pickle pie eating contest, grape stomp, vow renewal and more.

Also taking place today, "Let's Make a Deal" casting calls are coming the the fair. You could be one of two winners from the Detroit Contestant Search that will be flown to L.A. to see the show and make a deal with host Wayne Brady! The Masquerade Ball also happens today featuring a gourmet meal, entertainment and dancing!

The authentic era costumes and buildings make you feel like you stepped back in time. The food is amazing, and it's a shopper's paradise with everything from leather works, swords, costumes, candles are available from remarkable Michigan vendors.
