EPA: Children and Pregnant Women in Flint No Longer Need to Drink Bottled Water
Health and Human Services and The Environmental Protection Agency say that women who are pregnant or nursing, as well as children in Flint no longer need to drink bottled water -- as long as they are drinking water that has been properly filtered.
An appropriate filter is one certified by the National Center for Environmental Health to remove lead from drinking water.
Reports say that all local, state, and federal agencies involved in Flint's ongoing water crisis agree that water filtered by approved filters is safe for everyone to drink.
