‘Ellen’ Gives Hero Bus Driver $20,000 – The Good News Follow-Up [VIDEO]

Renita Smith managed to save 20 children from a burning school bus on September 12th in Baltimore, Maryland, and it was all caught on camera. In fact, she went back to the bus to make sure that she didn't miss anybody before it became fully engulfed in flames.

We originally featured her heroic story on The Good News, which we do every morning at 6:40 AM.

She revealed on the show that she lives check to check...and Ellen revealed something, to - she gave her a check for $20,000. A very deserving recipient!
