Elderly Dog Doused With Drano During SE Michigan Home Invasion [VIDEO]

A 14-year-old pit bull now requires round-the-clock care after a home invasion in Hamtramck turned into a case of animal cruelty.

It appears that the crooks deliberately doused Abbey with Drano, according to the dog's owner, Sarah Birkel.

"I'm afraid to leave my house," she tells WJBK. "They poured Drano into her eyes, all over her body, they continued to beat her with a broom."

The attack will leave Abbey blind, or only to make out shadows.

"She didn't deserve this. They didn't have to do this to her," Birkel added.
