His grandmother would be so proud.

Michael Diamond, an eight-year-old from Ohio, set up a Kool-Aid stand to help raise money for his grandmother's funeral which is expected to cost $5,000. Diamond's grandmother passed earlier this month after a battle with cancer.

Diamond says he thinks about his grandmother often and if he was able to see her again, he would tell her he loves her. Diamond, who planned on keeping his stand open through this past weekend, had raised $173.

After a local television station ran a story, sales picked up and Diamond had raised $1,100 for his grandmother's funeral which takes place today. This is a staggering amount considering he was selling large cups for $1 and smaller ones for $.50. Kraft Foods, owners of Kool-Aid have also gotten wind of the story and are said to be deeply touched and are trying to figure out how they could possibly help.

As we said earlier, his grandmother would be so proud.
