Early Morning Storm Soaks Mid-Michigan

Fenech Pictures

The sky looked wicked over Flint this morning around 5:00am as a severe storm barreled through Genesee County.  Flint sustained a good soaking, but there were plenty of trees and wires down to go along with it.

Power outages were reported in Swartz Creek, Flushing and Grand Blanc.  Hail measuring 1.75 inches in diameter was reported in Flint and Grand Blanc, and wind gusts were clocked at 70MPH at the airport.

As quickly as this storm came, it was gone with some minor damage.  Nothing like the May 3rd storms that caused major flooding.
