Eagles Co-Founder Glenn Frey Dead at 67 [VIDEOS]

It all started when Glenn Frey took an unfinished Jackson Browne song and added lines like "It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford, slowin' down to take a look at me". It was that song's release 44 years ago that introduced The Eagles' amazing blend of rock and country to the world.

After the breakup of the band in the early 80s, Frey has a successful career with hits like "You Belong To The City" and "The Heat Is On". He reunited with The Eagles for their 1994 'Hell Freezes Over' album, and has continued to perform since.

That is up until his health took a turn for the worse. He was suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia. It was the combination of those ailments took his life yesterday in New York.
