A year and a half after Brandon Majewski was killed while riding his bike with his friends, the woman who struck the boy with her car is suing his family.

Sharlene Simon was not found at-fault for the accident, as authorities cited lack of visibility at the time of the incident. Simon has since filed a $1.35 million lawsuit against the victim's family and the other cyclists. The Huffington Post reports that Simon has endured great pain and suffering since the accident, and depression, anxiety, irritability and post-traumatic stress, and that the "enjoyment of life has been irretrievably lessened".
