Driver Traveling Wrong Way in Deadly I-275 Crash Had Open Intoxicants

Michigan State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people this morning on I-275 near Michigan Avenue in Canton Township. The driver who was going the wrong way is reported to have had open intoxicants in the vehicle.

The wrong-way driver is a 59-year-old man from Wolverine Lake. He was injured and was taken to a local hospital. The accident claimed the lives of two people who were occupants of another vehicle.
