Dozens of students from SVSU gave up the warmth and comfort of their beds last night to sleep on the street. It part of the third annual Cardboard City event hosted by the schools Habitat for Humanity chapter. Students spent 12 hours living in cardboard boxes outside to raise money and awareness for homelessness in the area. The group accepts donations and cash all year long, which they then donate to local food pantries and homeless shelters.
