To get ready for Memorial Day, The American Cancer Society has determined Friday, May 27 as 'Don't Fry Day.' They're teaming up with the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention to remind you to make sure you're wearing sunscreen when you're outside.

According to a recent press release, the organization's also want to remind you to wear a hat and sunglasses so you're not exposing your eyes when you're outdoors.

The local cancer society office also wants to remind you about the program Camp Catch-a-Rainbow, which is a camp for kids who are being treated for cancer or who are in remission from cancer.

There is a week long camp and a special one day program for kids and the deadline to sign up is May 27. Find out more details here.
