Of course, every state has a wide selection of popular breakfast spots to enjoy, but sometimes it's those overlooked restaurants and diners that serve up the best meals around. The website Cheapism has just released its list of the Best Hole-in-the-Wall restaurants for breakfast in each state.

"Hole-in-the-wall eateries are often ones you might overlook from the outside, but they can host some of the best bites at unbeatable prices inside. Here are the best breakfast hole-in-the-wall locations in every state and Washington, D.C., based on reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor, recommendations, and rankings from local food experts", Cheapism said.

What's the Best Hole-in-the-Wall Breakfast Spot in Michigan?

In Michigan, it's a family-owned diner that's located in the home of the Cheeseburger Festival that took the crown as the best under-the-radar spot for breakfast. I'll have to say, there's nothing under the radar about this place if you enjoy some serious summer fun.

Walt's Restaurant in the heart of Caseville has been starting the day right for decades. I have waited in line to grab a table for a delicious 'breaky' on more than one occasion, and it's always worth it. Here's what Cheapism had to say about Walt's:

"This family-owned restaurant has been serving locals for over 50 years and is known for its homestyle cooking. Real potatoes are always used here, and the homemade breads are also known for being delicious. Sweet treats like cinnamon rolls and doughnuts are recommended, in addition to flaky and buttery biscuits".

If you find yourself in Caseville or are planning a road trip through Michigan, make sure to set your GPS to this family-owned treasure. Your taste buds will thank you. Take a look at the full list of the "Best Hole in the Wall Breakfast Places in Each State" here.
