The animals were brought in after Pontiac's Bat Zone was closed last month.

54 different bat species, 5 flying squirrels, a two-toed sloth and a horned frog are all being moved to the Detroit Zoo this month from the Pontiac location. The animals will all be in quarantine behind the scenes at the zoo for a short time, and then will be moved to their own exhibits.

The Deputy Chief Life Sciences Officer at the zoo says that they are doing everything they can to place the animals during this unfortunate situation.

Let me be the first to say, ANOTHER SLOTH??? Be still my heart!
