A family in Detroit is praying for a better outcome than that of Dominick Calhoun three years ago, as 2-year old Damian Sutton is on life support after allegedly being beaten by his mother's boyfriend.

Ronald Dimambro Jr. was arraigned this morning, and faces first degree child abuse charges.

The boy's uncle says he was punched and kicked repeatedly in the abdominal area, and had wounds all over his body. Damian's mother, Nikki Sutton was overrun with emotion as she spoke with WJBK in the video below.

"I don't even know how or why you can look at a child and just hurt him that bad."

4-year-old Dominick Calhoun died three years ago after being beaten by his mother's boyfriend, Brandon Hayes. Hayes and Calhoun's mother, Corrine Baker, were convicted in charges related to the boy's death in 2012.
