It's only spring training, but the Detroit Tigers are now 5-0 in Grapefruit League action. It is becoming apparent that this team could win a lot of ballgames this season, especially once they begin to count on April 5th. Ryan Raburn drove home two runs with a 3rd inning triple, first baseman Ryan Streiby also knocked one home in the 3rd and Ramon Santiago hit a sacrifice fly to plate the 4th Tiger run. Miguel Cabrera smoked a solo homer in the 4th to account for the 5th and final Tiger run of the day.

Tiger pitching was a little wild, but held the Braves to just one run in the 5-1 Detroit victory. Jacob Turner started for the Tigers, and gave up two hits and 4 walks in an inning and a third. Andy Oliver pitched 3 hitless and scoreless innings, although he managed to walk three batters. Octavio Dotel gave up the lone run to the Braves in relief. Jose Valverde and Joquin Benoit each held the Braves scoreless in an inning's worth of relief.

The Tigers will take on Tampa Bay tomorrow.
