Two Detroit police officers have been investigated for possibly using excessive force, after a meeting with two young men escalated into a brawl.

The brouhaha took place at Grady's Coney Island, where brothers Tywonn Mitchell and Naybon Moore claim they were profiled in the parking lot. After entering the establishment, police ask the men for ID, but they were reluctant to cooperate, claiming they had done nothing wrong. Both men are college students, one is studying law while the other is pursuing a career in criminal justice.

According to WJBK, the two were charged with assault and battery on a police officer, obstruction of justice, and resisting arrest. After an internal investigation, the police officers' use of force was deemed appropriate.
