56-year-old James Robertson leaves his home in Detroit at 8 AM for his 2 PM shift at Schain Mold & Engineering, and walks approx. 21 miles per day between gaps in bus service.

He's made the journey five days per week for the last decade, since his car punked out on him. Sometimes, he says, he gets rides from a local banker. He makes $10.55 an hour, and says it's all due to 'determination.'

And here's the kicker: he has an almost PERFECT attendance record.

Yesterday, his story went viral on Buzzfeed and other news sites. Within hours, a donation page had been set up and several dealerships are offering him a free car! One of his co-workers has set up a board to help organize the donations. As of this morning, the donations have topped $130,000.

Most feel good story of the week, if you ask me! Looks like I have absolutely ZERO excuse to not make it into work for, well, ANYTHING.
