Detroit-based designer Detroit is the New Black is showing its support of Flint residents with a new T-Shirt that pays tribute to its sister city.

The shirts, available at the manufacturer's website, read "Flint c/o DITNB." Proceeds from the shirt benefit the Community Foundation of Greater Flint’s Moving Flint Forward Fund.

DITNB founder and CEO Roslyn Karamoko tells Michigan Chronicle that her company felt a need to show solidarity to Flint residents as they continue to navigate the city's ongoing water crisis.

“After initially seeing and hearing how the water emergency impacted lives I felt compelled, like many in the country, to provide support,” said Karamoko. “Developing the Flint Tee was a natural outcome after thinking about how resilient and positive the people living in Flint continue to be through this entire ordeal.”

The shirts are available in gray and black, at their website.
