His dad passed in 1983, but he wanted to keep his promise.

Wayne Williams got in his car and made the 600 mile, 9-hour drive from North Carolina to Indiana on Wednesday. He had made a promise to his dad - when the Cubs made it to the World Series, they'd listen to the games together.

So he camped out at his dad's grave at Greenwood Forest Lawn Cemetery, streamed the game on his phone, and got to listen to the Cubs win the World Series with his dad.

Although, when asked if his dad was watching from above, he said "no," that his dad was a hellraiser. Wherever he's watching from, I hope he knows that his son kept his promise!
