When I was a kid, I got around by walking, running or riding my bike. That was true for most kids in my day. Fast forward to 2012, and kids just don't seem to get outside and move around as much as they should. The folks at the Crim Fitness Foundation are doing a lot to change that. In addition to organizing running clubs in schools and neighborhoods, they bring you a fun day where you can do a little running. The Crim Kids Classic is May 12th at the Flint Cultural Center Campus.

The Crim Kids Classic aims to get kids moving at a very young age. They offer races for children age 0-12. Kids can participate in the Diaper Dash, Toddler Trot, Quarter Mile, Half Mile or One Mile race.

The Crim Kids Classic will partner this year with the Junior League of Flint for "Kids in the Kitchen," which will help kids with nutrition in a fun way. The fun begins at 10 am at the Sarvis Center (between The Whiting and Sloan Museum) with registration.

All kids receive a t-shirt, goody bag and a finisher's medal. For more details, visit: www.crim.org
