In Nova Scotia, a couple got hitched while a roaring fire tore through their wedding venue at the same time. Not exactly a picture-perfect start to a life of wedded bliss, right?

On Saturday, Nancy and Michael Rogers were preparing for their wedding ceremony when the main lodge at the White Point Beach Resort caught fire. Firefighters from 10 different departments quickly arrived on the scene and battled the massive blaze for several hours.

Undaunted, the couple moved the ceremony to another building while the rest of the resort burned down around them. (The dancefloor wasn’t the only thing on fire that night.) Sadly, the couple’s wedding gifts and flowers were destroyed in the fire, but at least they got some unique wedding photos to commemorate the event.
