This almost never happens in our grown up world. Something that tastes good, a food that you crave and can't get enough of might have honest to goodness health benefits!

A research team from Italy has concluded that people who ate pizza on a regular basis are far less likely to suffer from colon, mouth and esophageal cancer. The team knew in advance that the lypocenes from the tomatoes in the sauce were beneficial, but they were pleasantly surprised to find that pizza as a complete meal offered what they call "protective powers".

Here's the disclaimer...pizza can be high in fat and calories and should be enjoyed as part of a healthy lifestyle.

But this new research conducted by Dr. Silvano Gallus of the Mario Negri Institute For Pharmaceutical Research makes pizza less of a guilty pleasure, right?
