Corvette Celebrates 60th Birthday Local Chevy Dealer In On The Party [VIDEO]

I've always had a love affair with the Chevrolet Corvette. Did you know the first ones were built right here in Flint?60 years ago this Sunday, the first Corvette was built in Flint.Chevy is getting ready to celebrate the Corvette's 60-year anniversary, and a local car dealer is taking part in that milestone. Hank Graff Chevrolet in Davison is putting the finishing touches on a 1954 Corvette that they completely reconstructed.

The car was originally a trade-in. The crew at Hank Graff decided to strip the '54 Corvette to its shell and make it even better than new. It took 10 hour days, every day for six months, but finally a finished project. They took it for a test drive Thursday morning, and they weren't disappointed.

Their plan is to unveil the car on the Corvette's anniversary, this Sunday. They'll drive it from the birth place of the Corvette in Flint, to the GM headquarters in Detroit.
