‘Convoy of Hope’ In Flint This Weekend With $1 Million in Assistance – The Good News
The faith-based organization will be at Basset Park starting at 10 AM on Saturday.
Convoy of Hope was founded in 1994 by the Donaldson family, whose father was killed by a drunk driver back in 1969. The family wanted to give back in to the community in honor of him, so they founded COH. Their website says that over 100 million people have benefited from their services.
The organization is nationwide and holds community events with the help of local donors, local businesses and volunteers. The Flint event is being put on by more than 1,000 volunteers from right here in Genesee County.
They'll be providing free groceries, health and dental screenings, haircuts, family portraits, meals and more. All are welcome and no ID is required.
