Congratulations, Jason Potter!

Potter, who is a pipeline excavator operator,  went to Washington D.C. to receive the award from the American Gas Association - it's their 2018 Meritorious Service Award. It's given out to only 5 natural gas workers for their " who demonstrate exceptional judgment in saving a human life.”

He was driving to Birch Run for work last summer when he saw a speeding car clip another car and send it out of control. He put on his flashers to check on the driver who was pinned between the car and the ground.

Another person stopped to help, and they got her out of the car. Potter used his t-shirt as a tourniquet and helped to calm the woman down until the paramedics arrived.

This is the THIRD time in just a few months that Consumers Energy employees have made the good news for their lifesaving efforts! Got some great people working there!
