Construction Alert: Bristol Roundabout Work Starts Next Week [PHOTOS]
The $3 million project will start on July 6th and end sometime this November.
According to MDOT, the roudnabout will be adjacent to the northbound I-75 ramps and the GM plant entrance. It will include intersection upgrades and signal work to improve safety for motorists and help with traffic congestion.
PHASE 1: Starting on July 6, crews will be working on pavement repairs on Bristol Road and the ramps between Torrey and Van Slyke roads.
PHASE 2: Crews will construct the south section of the roundabout and lanes. Additional phases of construction and their intended traffic impact will be shared as the project progresses.
Alright, go ahead. Complain about how much you hate roundabouts, because everybody does. However, I'm a big believer that they work. Because, frankly, people can't seem to grasp the concept of a four-way stop.
