Tropicana orange juice has been a staple in my refrigerator for a long time. Now, the brand is preparing to launch a vegetable based drink called 'Farmhand'. Hit read more for details.

Tropicana is getting ready to launch a new drink soon, but the twist is that for the first time in recent history, the brand is using vegetables like carrots, sweet potatoes and beets, in combination with fruits such as blueberries, peaches, strawberries, bananas, mangoes and pomegranates. Initially, Tropicana will offer three versions of their new drink; Peach Mango, Strawberry Banana and Pomegranate Blueberry.

When it comes to marketing the new drinks, Tropicana has chosen to feature the fruits on the label, with the vegetables tucked behind the logo, and the new Tropicana varieties will be available in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. According to Memo Maquivar, the chief marketing officer for Tropicana, the chilled characteristic of the new drinks could be a deal breaker for their success. "Chilled is very important-it signals high quality, it signals premium, it signals freshness." he says.

Have you ever tricked your kids into eating more veggies? Care to share any success stories to other parents? Will you try the new 'Farmstand' drinks?
