Coach And School Have Different Views On Team Banquet At Hooters [Video]

Pizza parties are so boring!

Why not have the 7th and 8th grade football banquet here?

To celebrate winning every football game in their division, Coach Randy Burbach wanted something a little more special than the standard pizza party banquet. When his 7th and 8th grade players suggested Hooters, he thought it was a splendid idea.

Coach Burbach calls Hooters “a family sports bar, football themed.” The school’s athletic director couldn’t disagree more. He argues that Hooters “objectifies women.”

Where did the football champions celebrate their season? Find out in the video below.

How do you feel about a banquet for 7th and 8th grade boys at Hooters? Is it appropriate?

Because of the controversy, Hooters donated $1,000 to the school’s football booster club, plus 20% of the banquet day’s sales and they picked up the tab for the boy’s banquet as well. Maybe Hooters is family friendly after all!
