Monday is Veterans Day and the City of Flint will hold a ceremony to honor those who have served in the military and those currently serving.

The ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. in front of City Hall, located at 1101 S. Saginaw St., and will include remarks from city officials, including those who have served in the military, and the playing of Taps.
“This is the day we honor our fellow citizens who made the commitment to secure our country,” said Mayor Dayne Walling, “all of us in Flint owe thanks to our veterans and their families for what they have given to our community.” Area veterans, their families and anyone else wishing to attend this ceremony are welcome.
